Cromarty Local Information

From its position at the tip of the Black Isle, Cromarty is both a destination and a jumping-off point. Many visitors come for the day, to have a wander around the town or a walk up the Sutor and a meal or afternoon tea. Others use Cromarty as a base for their holiday and take day trips further north in the Highlands (Dornoch, Dunrobin Castle, Castle of Mey), the west coast (Ullapool, Plockton, Inverewe Gardens), along Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal or east of Inverness to Culloden, Cawdor, Findhorn and the Moray coast. Whatever your choice, the end of a peninsula isn't the end of the road!

Use the flyout menus for a map and directions for travelling to Cromarty, weather and road conditions and maritime information.
